Intensive study and practice in communicating about technical, scientific, and/or specialized topics in accessible and usable ways. Emphasizes writing within various professional or organizational contexts, writing for a variety of audiences, and communicating in globalized work environments. Prepares students for careers in business, media, science, psychology, advocacy, engineering, computer science, non-profit organizations, and others. Introduces students to critical analysis of communication technologies and practices to understand the impact of writing in nonacademic settings. Offered by English. Limited to three attempts.
Recommended Prerequisite: ENGH 302.
