Examines the dynamic relationship between law and society, focusing on the nature and function of law, its historical development, and its role in shaping and responding to social change. Students will explore various theoretical frameworks and methodologies for understanding how law influences social behavior, structures, and values, while also assessing how social forces impact the creation, interpretation, and evolution of laws.Offered by Schar Govt/International Affrs. Limited to three attempts.
Recommended Prerequisite: CRIM 100 or GOVT 301.
