This course introduces foundational computing concepts through lectures and labs, covering hardware, software, networking, databases, web development with HTML5/CSS, data visualization, and computer security. Students explore generative AI, prompt engineering, and emerging agentic AI systems, with emphasis on practical applications and ethical considerations. The course covers digital and AI literacy, including information evaluation, data privacy, intellectual property, accessibility, and responsible use of emerging technologies. Offered by Info Sciences & Technology. Limited to two attempts.
