Numerical differentiation and integration, initial-value and boundary-value problems for ordinary differential equations, methods of solution of partial differential equations, iterative methods of solution of nonlinear systems, approximation theory. Offered by Mathematics. Limited to three attempts. Equivalent to CDS 410.

Required Prerequisites: (MATH 214^C, 214^XS, 214T, 216^C or 216T) and (MATH 446^C or 446^XS).
