Introduces basic facts about partial differential equations, including elliptic equations, parabolic equations and hyperbolic equations. Methods of solution, characteristics, initial/boundary-value problems, and numerical approximation techniques. Offered by Mathematics. Limited to three attempts.

Required Prerequisites: (MATH 203^C, 203^XS or 203T) and (MATH 214^C, 214^XS or 214T) or (MATH 216^C or 216T).
