For mathematical sciences majors only. Independent study or directed research project in mathematics. Notes: Must be arranged with instructor before registering. Up to 6 credits may be used toward "upper division" math hours required of math majors. May be repeated within term and in combination with Math 490 for a total of 12 credits between the two classes. Offered by Mathematics. May be repeated within the term for a maximum 12 credits.
