Chuseok is a significant holiday in Korea, also known as Korean Thanksgiving Day. This year, it falls on Thursday, September 28th. Traditionally, Chuseok is a time for Koreans to return to their ancestral hometowns to give thanks to their ancestors for the abundant harvest. During Chuseok, Koreans enjoy traditional food and games and celebrate Chuseok with their families.
In our Chuseok Event, we will mainly have a giant Yut Nori game and Dasik Making.
Yut Nori is one of the most popular and well-loved traditional board games played in Korea! It involves four wooden sticks, or "yut sticks", which are marked on one side and flat on the other. The goal is to throw these sticks to move your tokens around the board and win the game. We prepared giant Yutnori available for group play. It will be done in a group competition style, and our Top 1 team will get a chance to win a prize. Please follow the link for more information about how to play Yut Nori.
We are excited to offer the opportunity to participate in Dasik-Making, a traditional Korean activity where you can create sweet tea cookies that have been enjoyed for centuries. While not a commonly known Chuseok food, we want to share the experience of making these delicious cookies made with sesame seeds, grains, and honey.
