Spring & Fall 2026

Spring 2026 Mason Reads

For Spring 2026, the Mason Reads Committee selected Convenience Store Woman by Sayaka Murata and No Mud, No Lotus by Thich Nhat Hanh.

Throughout the semester, students and members of the Mason Korea community explored themes related to identity, social expectations, mindfulness, and finding meaning in everyday life.

Inspired by Convenience Store Woman, the committee hosted <DIY Day: Rethinking Everyday Life>, an interactive event featuring a convenience store concept. Participants engaged in creative activities while reflecting on familiar routines, ordinary objects, and the different ways we experience everyday life.

The event was successfully completed with active participation from the Mason Korea community and provided a welcoming space for students to connect, create, and discuss ideas inspired by the semester’s readings.
