Wide-ranging interests spanning both legal and technological domains, including contract law generally, internet regulation, and intellectual property rights involving LLM-generated content.

Since 2015, Professor Kent Zimmerman has contributed to Mason Korea's growth through a wide range of roles. While his primary focus is teaching, a substantial portion of his responsibilities over the years included administrative work, with approximately 10 years managing Mason Korea's Title IX compliance matters, and many of the same years spent working in academic affairs, student affairs, and more.

Before arriving at Mason Korea, Professor Zimmerman conducted research at the Institute of International Banking Law & Practice and interned under foreign counsel at both SK Telecom and Samsung Life, gaining firsthand exposure to legal practice in an international context. He also brings a background in IT support and web development, which sparked a lifelong enthusiasm for technology and its evolving applications.

 

Education

Professor Zimmerman received his bachelor's degree in global affairs from George Mason University and his Juris Doctor from George Mason University’s Antonin Scalia Law School. He was admitted to practice law in Virginia.
