Jason Kifer is originally from Chicago, Illinois in the USA, and he received his Master of Arts in English Literature with distinction from DePaul University in Chicago. Prior to coming to Mason Korea as a full-time lecturer in 2016, he taught in the General Education English Program at Sogang University in Seoul, South Korea. As a graduate student, Professor Kifer worked as a writing instructor and tutor in the DePaul University Writing Center.
Since arriving at George Mason University Korea, he has specialized in English academic writing and has worked with first-year students as they transition into university life.
