Junior Jae Young Lim Featured in Local News for Work with NGO Onhappy

Jae Young Lim, a junior Global Affairs major, was recently featured in the local news for her work with Onhappy, an Incheon-based NGO. Onhappy is a UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC)-approved NGO that operates 10 children’s centers in Incheon to provide English education programs to underserved communities.

Graduating Senior Receives Peter Stearns Award for Global Citizenship

Jin Seong Choi, a graduating senior, was awarded the Peter Stearns Award for Global Citizenship by George Mason University’s Global Affairs program. This significant honor recognizes one graduating student each year who has not only excelled in their studies throughout their career at George Mason, but also challenged themselves outside the classroom and contributed significantly to their community.

Recent Graduate Speaks to Current Students at Alumni Career Fair

Yelim Ku (Global Affairs, ’21) graduated last spring and is currently interning at the multinational corporation Philips Korea (Domestic Appliances) as a Consumer Marketing Intern. She was recently invited to speak at the 2021 IGC Career Fair – Alumni Festival along with four other Mason Korea alumni to share about her experience with current students.

Saeyeon Kwon, a senior Global Affairs major with a minor in Conflict Analysis and Resolution, is working as a public administration intern at the United Nations Project Office on Governance (UNPOG).

Pursuing master's degree in international cooperation

Ha Eun Choi graduated in the summer of 2020 with a BA in Global Affairs and a minor in International Security. Having entered Mason Korea with limited English proficiency and zero study abroad experience, she graduated with honors and landed an official UN internship by actively utilizing Mason's resources. Choi is currently attending SNU GSIS where all courses are conducted in English.

Mason Korea alumna Haseung "Madeline" Joung graduated in Fall 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in Global Affairs with a concentration in Global Governance and a minor in Journalism. She is working in media and communications just as she had hoped at a news portal run by the Korean Culture and Information Service (KOCIS) under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
