Mason Korea recently welcomed a group of Incheon’s elementary school teachers to campus for a weeklong intensive English training program designed to elevate classroom teaching and global competency.
Held from July 14 to 18, the program was organized in partnership with the Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education East Asia Global Education Institute (IEGI). As part of Mason Korea’s Executive Education initiative, the program reflects the campus' commitment to public sector collaboration and global education access.
With classes taught by Mason Korea faculty members Antonio Covello and Jason Ham, the training focused on practical, hands-on learning—from designing lessons tailored to Incheon’s classrooms to applying AI-powered edtech and interactive communication strategies. Participants also explored local resources and cultural programs that can be integrated into English education.
“We’re proud to partner with the Incheon education community to support teachers and strengthen global learning infrastructure,” said Joshua Park, Campus Dean of George Mason University Korea. “Mason Korea will continue to build bridges between institutions, educators, and students to foster innovation, collaboration, and glocal impact.”
Mason Korea’s Executive Education offerings include customized training for both corporate and public institutions in areas such as English, digital literacy, and global citizenship. Through short, intensive, and applied programs, the campus continues to play a leading role in connecting global knowledge with local needs.
