This course is a sequel to Intermediate Chinese I. It will continue to focus on oral proficiency in daily communication and essential social interactions in Chinese, on expansion of both oral and written vocabulary, and on competent usage of Chinese idiomatic expressions and grammatical structures.  It will cover Lesson 12-Lesson 15 of the main textbook, Integrated Chinese. The course focuses on developing the four basic skills in language necessary to communicate with native Mandarin Chinese speakers—listening, speaking, reading, and writing.  In addition, authentic text or audiovisual materials are used to enhance development of communication skills.

Continuation of CHIN 201. CHIN 201 and 202 must be taken in sequence. Notes: Students may not receive credit for CHIN 202 and CHIN 209. Limited to three attempts.
Recommended Prerequisite: CHIN 201.
