George Mason University, Korea, invites applications for a full-time position in Computer Game Design at the assistant or associate rank beginning spring semester, 2021 (Mason Korea spring semester begins in late February). Candidates should have expertise in 3D modeling and animation, must possess a master’s degree or equivalent professional experience and be knowledgeable about all facets of the game design field, including technical, managerial and artistic advances. Significant professional and industry experience in computer game design is a plus. They must be prepared to teach introductory and intermediate courses in computer game design, especially in the area of game graphics. Competitive candidates will have a proven track record of excellence in teaching and/or industry experience.
This is a full-time, non-tenure track position. The compensation package is competitive, and all international hires include support for relocation expenses, furnished housing, home leave allowance, health insurance in Korea’s excellent health care system, and dependent tuition benefit. The expected term is two years, with further opportunity for renewal and multi-year contracts.
