Eligibility Requirements

Students must meet the following eligibility requirements, or they may not be eligible to apply for housing.

1. Conduct Record: Students may need to have a satisfactory conduct record with Mason Korea and IGC Housing to be eligible for on-campus housing.
2. Enrollment Status: Students who have registered for the 2025 Fall semester. Students who were on leave of absence for Fall 25/graduates are not eligible.

** During the break, only single rooms below the 14th floor will be available.
High-floor residents may need to move, and room changes for personal reasons are not allowed.

Important

• Only students who resided in Dorm B during the Fall semester are eligible to apply.
• Residents of Dorm A must select the 7-week Newly Stay option, not the 8-week Extension option.
• Only single rooms (Building B) are available for winter 25 residents.
• To complete the application, payment must be made promptly after submitting the online application. If not paid, the application is considered incomplete.
• Since the room availability is on a rolling basis, we highly suggest students apply as soon as possible once the application starts, within November 10– 11, to avoid any issues.

Regarding Winter - 2026 Spring Semester Extended Stay (Stay Period: February 16, 2026 - March 1, 2026)

• This option is only available if you apply for AND obtain residency for the same room (single room) for the Spring 26 semester.
• The application period for stay extension will be announced later by IGC Housing.

Applicants must have accounts both with Mason and IGC. Make sure you have online accounts with both before submitting your application.

Application Process

Application Result and Payment

Students approved for the housing residency will be notified individually by IGC Housing. The notification will be sent to your university email account. Students selected to live on campus for the term must log in to the IGC Housing website using their IGC account credentials and access My Page to check the following details;

1. Approved room type (single)
2. Payment process

Check-In

All residents must check in to the IGC Housing office before moving into their room. Check-in is available during the designated period. During check-in, IGC Housing will inform you of your room number and grant you access to the residence hall.

Packing Information

• Provided Furnishings: Desk, chair, wardrobe, single-size mattress bed, stand, LAN cable, wifi router, and waste bin
• Suggested to Bring: Pillow, bedding, hangers, shower caddy, towels, slippers, hair dryer, detergent, laundry bag, umbrella, nail clippers, medications, personal electronics, study materials, etc. The aforementioned items may also be purchased in Korea. Adapters and converters (see notes below).
• Restricted Items: Electric pads and blankets, heaters, irons, stoves, cooling fans, rice cookers, hot plates, pots, and coffee makers.

*The standard voltage in South Korea is 220V. Make sure your items are usable (e.g., dual-voltage if bringing electronics from the United States).
*Be sure to pack any adapters and converters your devices may need, with extras to spare. It is much more difficult to obtain these items from within the country.
