Operations Manager, Academic Affairs

Seongyeon manages the Academic Affairs operations. She oversees various new and existing programs and projects in close collaboration with faculty, students, and staff across different offices within Mason community.

Prior to joining Mason Korea, Seongyeon worked as a program manager at Korea Foundation for Advanced Studies (KFAS) where she was in charge of planning and managing education programs and international forums intended to empower and equip young students and mid-career professionals with global leadership skills. Before joining KFAS, Seongyeon served as the program coordinator at the National Institute for International Education (NIIED), under the Korean Ministry of Education. At NIIED, she managed the student selection of Global Korea Scholarship, a Korean government-funded degree program. She also served as the public relations specialist of GKS program and participated in international education fairs and events hosted by embassies and organizations to promote the program and execute its mission.

Seongyeon received a B.A. in Economics from Smith College, MA, USA and an M.A. in Education from Stanford University, CA, USA.
