What was the most impactful class you took in your major?

It is so hard to choose! I have had so many amazing teachers that made the classes enjoyable (Professor Williamson, Professor DeCaroli, the list goes on!). One thing that I have enjoyed about all of my classes is seeing the connection between people and the impact that art can have. My classes have taught me to think more deeply and broaden my perspective. Knowing that this is at the base of all of my courses means each one leaves an impact.

It is the same for my business major—my teachers are the ones who made the difference. So many of them have left an impact on me; they served as mentors and provided encouragement when I needed it most. I have gained incredible work experience based on the connections I made in these classes, and the two degrees have complemented each other really well.

What activities were you involved in during your time at George Mason that impacted you?

I completed a study abroad in the UK centered around Harry Potter, and this was an experience I will never forget. I learned to be independent, got to see and study art history and how it influenced the series, and formed strong friendships that I still have today. I also got involved with Mason Chooses Kindness (MCK) and became an MCK ambassador. Getting to see the impact kindness can have in so many facets of life—the classroom, organizations, personal—and being a part of the "kindness revolution" has helped shape my education and work in incredible ways that I will carry into the future.

What is your most memorable moment at George Mason inside or outside of the classroom?

My most memorable moment at George Mason was the Naming Celebration for the Costello College of Business. To be a part of that moment in history was really special, and though I was nervous to get on stage, I am proud that I got to help present the new banner with some of my fellow students.

As you are reflecting on your time at George Mason, what is one piece of advice you would give a student who is just starting off on their Mason journey?

Go for it! Whether it is trying a new class, starting a conversation, or doing something slightly outside your comfort zone, this is your time to grow, not just academically. You are so capable. Growing confidence or improving your study skills won't happen overnight, but it won't happen at all if you don't go for it.

What is your next step after graduation? What are your future plans?

I hope to travel more in the future and secure a full-time position in the Fairfax area with the goal of one day moving to Boston, Massachusetts.
