How to Apply

MKEligibility

You must meet each of the following minimum requirements to be considered for our Global Scholars Program:

  • Currently an undergraduate student registered at an accredited institution of higher education;
  • Completed the cumulative equivalent of one full-time semester’s worth of coursework;
  • Possesses a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale; and
  • Possesses sufficient mastery of the English language*

*Sufficient mastery may be demonstrated by language proficiency scores (e.g., TOEFL or IELTS) or by other means.

How to Apply

To apply for the Global Scholars Program, please visit https://georgemasonuniversity.force.com/ to fill out an online application. 

Steps for creating an account for your online application: 

1. Sign up for an account: Use your email address to create an ID and password for your account
2. Log into the application portal and complete the following steps:
    a) Under new application, select "2. George Mason University Korea" 
    b) What type of student are you: Select "Non-Degree Undergraduate" 
    c) Under citizenship status, select your status
    d) Term: Select the semester you are applying to study abroad at George Mason University Korea
    e) Please provide all the necessary information required for the Non-Degree Application 
    f) Review and submit 

Upon submission of your Non-Degree undergraduate application, please have your home campus study abroad office email your official English transcript directly to mkglobal@gmu.edu

Lastly, please email the following completed documentation together in one email to mkglobal@gmu.edu:

  • One letter of recommendation from your home institution
  • One color copy of your valid passport
