Campus Life

Once you join our Global Scholars Program, you can join our students hailing from all around the world in our frequent on-campus student- and community-focused events, including our stimulating academic symposiums and career networking opportunities. Additionally, our Korea campus offers all of the state-of-the-art facilities you would expect to find for a comfortable student experience, from our very own relaxing student lounge to an Olympic-size swimming pool. Situated in the center of Songdo, South Korea, our Korea campus is also only minutes away from an endless selection of stores, restaurants, movie theaters, parks, and much more. Culture and Travel

As a participant of our Global Scholars Program, you will be able to experience firsthand the cultural history and modern development of Korea. You will have the opportunity to both participate in on-campus cultural events and visit memorable and exciting tourist attractions. During your program, you might decide to de-stress at an authentic jjimjilbang, relax over a weekend at a serene temple stay, or even visit each of Korea’s 11 UNESCO World Heritages, including the Jongmyo Shrine, Hwaseong Fortress, and the Royal Tombs of the Joseon Dynasty. Korea happens to be renowned for its convenient public transportation, so traveling to Seoul, Busan, and any other destination of your interest will be cheap, easy, and quick. Our George Mason University Korea campus provides a spacious cafeteria that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and multiple menus options are available to cater to different palates. Our Korea campus also provides you with a convenience store for easy on-campus access to necessities and food, and a relaxing café for your daily coffee, tea, smoothies, or snacks. Furnished common kitchens are also available in the dormitories, with grocery stores only minutes away. Housing

Our George Mason University Korea campus offers safe, secure, comfortable, and healthy living environments within the two on-campus student dormitory buildings. Each building is furnished with common kitchens, study lounges, laundry machines, and exercise facilities. Every dorm room is furnished with single-size beds, desks, chairs, bookcases or shelves, wardrobes, wastebaskets, private bathrooms, and unlimited free Internet access. You also have the option of living in either an exclusive single room or sharing a double room with one of our students.
