On-Campus Storage Policy Information

On-campus Storage Policy

George Mason University Korea offers on-campus storage for students during academic breaks. Due to limited storage space, priority will be given to international students on a first-come, first-served basis. If space permits, domestic students may also utilize the storage service.

Storage Capacity

  • Students may use up to 3 storage shelves. 120cm (width) x 72cm (tall) x 35cm (deep)
  • All belongings must be packed in boxes, bags, suitcases, or storage containers and fit within the assigned shelf space.
  • Requests for oversized items may be considered on a case-by-case basis, subject to space availability.
  • George Mason University Korea reserves the right to limit storge based on available space and operational needs.

Liability

Students are solely responsible for their belongings.

George Mason University Korea assumes no responsibility or liability for loss, theft, damage, deterioration, or destruction of any stored items.

Storage Retrieval

All stored items must be retrieved within 7 calendar days after the first day of classes.

Students who fail to retrieve their belongings by the deadline may have their items donated, discarded, or otherwise disposed of after reasonable notice has been provided.

· Luggage and Suitcases

· Storage Bins and Containers

· Clothing and Shoes

· Books and School Supplies

· Kitchenware (Dishes, Cups, Utensils, etc.)

· Decorations

· Other non-hazardous personal belongings

· Perishable Food and Animal Products

· Medical or Pharmaceutical Supplies and Equipment

· Combustible, Flammable, Hazardous, or Toxic Materials

· Furniture and Mattresses

· Refrigerators, Microwaves, and Other Large Appliances

· Electronic Devices (Computers, Laptops, Tablets, Monitors, TVs, Gaming Consoles, etc.)

· Cash, Jewelry, Passports, and Other Valuables

· Weapons or Illegal Items

George Mason University Korea reserves the right to refuse or remove prohibited items from storage.

 

Instructions

Step 1: Submit the Request Form

Step 2: Prepare Your Items

All items intended for storage must securely packed and clearly labeled using the On-Campus Storage Label.

Step 3: Drop Off Your Items

Bring your labeled items to G404 during the scheduled drop-off period.

Drop Off Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM

University staff may inspect items to ensure compliance with storage policies.

Prohibited items will not be accepted.

Step 4: Retrieve your Items.

Student must retrieve all stored items within 7 days after the first day of classes.

Important Reminder

Students who store prohibited items, exceed the storage limit, or fail to retrieve their belongings by the stated deadline may lose access to storage service in future semesters.
