Resident Assistant

Resident Assistants (RAs) are student employees within the University Life office who help build, guide, and support a community of residents within the residence halls at the Incheon Global Campus (IGC) and George Mason University Korea. They are live-in paraprofessional staff members responsible for cultivating a safe and inclusive community experience for our residential students. Our RAs dedicate their time and energy to the residents of their community, ensuring that students have a healthy, safe, and supportive environment in which to learn and develop. They are visible in their communities and serve as available resources within their floors through peer-to-peer communication and residential programs. The RAs also serve as student liaisons to the IGC Housing Office. 

Our Resident Assistants are motivated leaders with such skills as dependability, initiative, integrity, and discretion. All essential duties and responsibilities of the RA position reflect one or more of GMU University Life's GROWTH Student Talent Development Goals: Communication, Self-Awareness, Work Ethic, Problem-Solving, and Working with Others.
