Transcript and Certificates
The Office of the University Registrar maintains accurate and secure records for all students. These records are available to students from Patriot Web.
Degree certification is provided directly by the National Student Clearinghouse. George Mason University does not calculate class rank at the undergraduate or graduate level.
Please send an email to the Office of the University Registrar at verify@gmu.edu to request Enrollment Certificate in English. Title of the email should be “Enrollment Certificate Request”. In the email, please provide the information listed below.

- Full Name
- Admitted campus (Fairfax / Korea campus)
- The scope of verification (current semester / every semester)
Please send an email to the Office of Academic Affairs at mkaa@gmu.edu to request the document. Title of the email should be “Enrollment Certificate in Korean”. In the email, please provide the information listed below.
- G Number
- Full Name
- Admitted campus (Fairfax / Korea campus)
- The scope of verification (current semester / every semester)
* By default, the certificate will include the entire records of your enrollment unless requested otherwise.
Please give us 1–2 business days to process your request. The document can be sent to your Mason email or be picked up in person from the office.
A George Mason University official transcript is a complete record of a student’s enrollment at Mason. Coursework earned through Continuing Education or the English Language Institute is not reflected on an official Mason transcript. Partial transcripts are not available. An official transcript will not be issued unless all financial obligations to the University have been satisfied. Official transcripts will not be faxed.
Please follow the steps below to order your official transcript.
- Log onto Patriot Web.
- Select Student Services.
- Select Student Records.
- Select Order Official Transcript.

Unofficial transcripts are available to currently-enrolled and former students at George Mason at no charge, and can be accessed through Patriot Web.
The unofficial transcript may be used to confirm such things as verification of degrees earned, enrollment and grades. It contains a comprehensive record of academic information including: coursework, grades, credit hours, grade point average, academic program information, transfer and test credit, instructor names, advisor names and degrees earned.
To print a copy of your unofficial transcript, follow these steps:
Current Students (or students with a Mason NetID and password) may get their unofficial transcripts by following the steps below:
- Log on to Patriot Web.
- Select Student Services.
- Select Student Records.
- Select View your Unofficial Transcript.
- Select the Transcript Level and the Transcript Type.
- Select Display MASON Transcript.
Former students and alumni who do not have an active NetID and password, please visit the IT Services website Setting up your Patriot Pass Account in order to gain access to Patriot Web.
