Scholarship 

Overview

All students admitted to the Mason Korea Honors College are awarded the Honors College Scholarship, which provides USD 3,000 per semester, up to a maximum of 6 semesters (for a total of USD 18,000). 

This scholarship is designed to recognize and support academic excellence throughout the student’s undergraduate journey.  

 

Scholarship Amount and Duration

  • Amount: USD 3,000 per semester
  • Maximum Duration: Up to six semesters while enrolled at Mason Korea
  • Applicable Terms: Fall and Spring semesters only (Does not apply to Summer term tuition)
  • Applicable Campus: Mason Korea only (Fairfax tuition is not supported)

 

Eligibility Requirements 

To receive the Honors College Scholarship, students must:

  1. Be admitted to Mason Korea (Fairfax students are not eligible)
  2. Be admitted to the Honors College
  3. Enroll at Mason Korea in the immediately following semester upon admission to the Honors College
  4. Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
  5. Be in good academic standing
  6. Have a valid Mason Student ID (G#) and Mason email address
  7. Have no administrative holds on their student account  
  8. Maintain full-time enrollment (12 credits or more per semester)  

 

Additional Notes

  • Form of Scholarship: Under the new Experiential Scholarship Model, USD 1,000 per semester will be allocated to support co-curricular and experiential program expenses. The remaining USD 2,000 will be provided in the form of direct tuition support. Students selected for the Honors College will also contribute through designated service roles.
  • Stackability: The Honors College scholarship will need to comply with the stackable rules of the Mason Korea scholarship system. The total amount of all scholarships combined may not exceed your tuition cost.  
  • Renewal: Scholarship is renewed each semester based on academic performance and continued eligibility.
  • Suspension or Termination: Failure to meet GPA or other eligibility requirements may result in suspension or cancellation of the scholarship.
  • Leave of Absence or Withdrawal: Students who take a leave or withdraw for a semester may need to re-qualify upon return, subject to review.
  • Disbursement: The scholarship is applied directly to the tuition bill; it is not issued as cash or refund.
  • Changes to Policy: Mason Korea reserves the right to adjust scholarship amounts, eligibility, or terms based on institutional policies.
