Study Outside of Mason

Mason Korea students can expand their academic journey beyond George Mason University through various programs that allow students to study outside of Mason. Generally, there are three programs our students enjoy.

       Study Elsewhere in Korea

This program enables students to take courses at a regionally accredited degree-granting institution in Korea. To determine your eligibility and understand the requirements, please review the program policy here.

IGC Cross-Registration
Did you know you can take courses at other Incheon Global Campus (IGC) institutions, including SUNY Korea, Utah Asia Campus, and Ghent Global Campus? Through a cross-registration  program, Mason Korea students have the opportunity to enroll in select courses at these  partner universities, expanding their academic options and learning experiences.

Before participating, please review the related policy to ensure eligibility. A list of available courses will be emailed to students before the start of each semester—be sure to check your inbox for updates!

Study Abroad
Mason Korea students typically transition to the Fairfax campus during their junior or senior year. However, they also have the option to study abroad at locations beyond Mason Fairfax. Explore a wide range of global opportunities by visiting the Global Education webpage here to find the program that  best fits your academic and personal goals.

Important Note

While we encourage students to explore various programs to expand their horizons, it is important that students understand what the implications and options are for them. To ensure a well-informed decision that aligns with their academic requirements and goals, students are strongly encouraged to consult with their advisor for guidance on eligibility, course selection, and credit transfer policies.
