Starting in Fall 2023, Mason Korea students will be charged the MK rate during their two semesters in Fairfax.

FAQ
Does the new tuition rate apply to MK students as long as they study in Fairfax with a MK campus code? Or, is this tuition rate limited to only 2 semesters as was with the Progression Scholarship?

The new tuition rate is for 2 semesters only. After that, MK students will be charged the Out-of-State rate.
If an MK student changes his or her campus code to a US campus, does the new tuition rate still apply?
- Yes. However, the new rate only applies for two semesters. After that, MK students will be charged the Out-of-State rate.
Does this tuition rate also apply to MK students who are currently studying at the Fairfax campus? For instance, students who received the first part of the Progression Scholarship award in Spring 2023 or who received the first part of the award, took a Leave of Absence, and are back for Fall 2023?
- Students who are on campus for their second semester will receive the MK rate. The second part of the Progression Scholarship will be canceled.
How does the new tuition rate affect per credit hour? What if students take more than 15 credits in Spring and/or Fall semester?
- An additional charge of $833 per credit will be assessed for any credits over 15.
What if student take fewer than 12 credits in Spring and/or Fall semester?
- Each credit will be assessed at a per credit rate of $833.
What if students complete two semesters and then enroll part time during the third semester to complete their degree?
- Third semester will be at the Out-of-State rate.
Will students be paying their tuition to Fairfax?
- Yes, students will continue to pay their tuition to Fairfax.
Will the tuition rate affect other scholarship and/or awards received beyond the MK Progression Scholarship?
- No, it will not.
